We are excited to announce the start up of a Polish Drama Club! It is open to all who wish to participate. We equally encourage adults and children (age 10 and up) to join us. You don’t need any extra acting abilities, but if you do like to sing, read or play a musical instrument – you would be in a perfect spot! The main goal of the drama club is to engage our members with Polish language and culture in a fun and entertaining way. We will promote ‘melodic approach’ based on the evidence that musicality of speech has an effect not only on the pronunciation skills of the students but also on their entire language acquisition process.
We will plan to hold meetings and rehearsals at the Polish school facility on Saturdays between 1.30-3.00PM, with the kick off meeting scheduled for September 8th. Our first performance will be a short play to celebrate 100 Years of Polish Independence on November 11th.
Polish Drama Club Aims and Objectives:
- Increase participants’ ability to memorize and use frequently Polish language
- Raise confidence in speaking the language
- Improve their pronunciation and intonation
